Specialist MGA Euna has launched its personal lines proposition with the introduction of Specialist Home, its non-standard residential and contract works product, alongside the appointment of experienced underwriters Simon Goddard, Stuart Rickett, Craig Woolley and Sam Gardiner.
The new team brings decades of specialist underwriting experience and longstanding broker relationships to an area of the market where appetite has become more restricted and access to experienced underwriters has become more limited. This gives brokers a new route to place complex personal lines risks that are increasingly difficult to secure. Ross Dingwall, CEO of Euna, said:
“This is an evolution of Euna’s underwriting proposition across commercial and personal lines, as we continue to build specialist capabilities in areas of the market where brokers need more choice, flexibility and expertise. When a risk falls outside the standard market, brokers need more than another online referral. They need direct access to experienced underwriters with the authority to make informed decisions and find solutions for complex risks.
“There is a clear opportunity to bring a fresh proposition to the personal lines market, driven by the values that define Euna. Brokers are looking for underwriting partners backed by stable capacity, combining responsiveness, accessibility and speed with deep technical expertise. Our new personal lines team is made up of underwriters who do exactly that, working closely with brokers to provide tailored cover for complex risks.”
The team will initially offer its Specialist Home product, a unique package in the market that provides flexible cover for non-standard and complex risks across the UK that often fall outside standard appetite. This includes:
The team members – Simon Goddard, Stuart Rickett, Craig Woolley and Sam Gardiner –each bring decades of personal lines and specialist underwriting experience, forming one of the most experienced teams in the UK market. A Head of Personal Lines will be announced at a later date.
